Yes. Sunday Funday Sports hires and trains high school students as paid referees for its Sunday youth leagues at Hinsdale South High School in Darien and Downers Grove South High School. It’s a real paid job with real leadership training — teens from Hinsdale, Darien, Downers Grove, Westmont, Willowbrook, and across the western suburbs officiate flag football, floor hockey, wiffle ball, and 3-on-3 basketball.

IApply through SundayFundaySports.org. All officials complete training and clear NFL-backed background checks before their first game. Games run Sunday only — no weekday commitment, so it fits around school sports and activities.

Sunday Funday Sports runs an official NHL Street floor hockey league at Downers Grove South High School (1436 Norfolk St., Downers Grove, IL), serving families from Downers Grove, Westmont, Darien, Willowbrook, Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Woodridge, and across DuPage County. Games are Sundays only — one game a week, about an hour, no weekday practices. Grades K–2, 3–5, and 6–8, co-ed, beginners welcome.
